Porter, a former tenured professor in bankruptcy law at the University of California-Irvine. “But this isn’t really a bankruptcy problem,” she says in the seven-minute interview. “It’s a larger problem about how do we make sure that companies that make money are also on the hook for paying for the harm they cause along the way.”
